girls need to realize

im reposting this because i agree...to some extent. wonder who wrote this? anyway, i really should take seriously this book project ive been trying to start for months, but the most ive done is gather ideas. havent reached the actual writing part.


From a guy's point of view:


We guys don't care if you talk to other guys. We don't care if you're friends with other guys. But when you're sitting next to us, and some random guy walks into the room and you jump up and tackle him, without even introducing us, yeah, it pisses us off. (yup, why wont the guy get pissed?)

It doesn't help if you sit there and talk to him for ten minutes without even acknowledging the fact that we're still there. (that's understandable if it were a girl...but a guy? a cousin or relative would be ok but i would still feel a little uneasy)

We don't care if a guy calls OR TEXTS you, but at 2 in the morning we do get a little concerned.Nothing is that important at 2 am that it can't wait till the morning. (nothing good happens after 2am. and memory serves me right, i dont text or talk to anyone beyond 2am unless its really important or she's really important)

Also, when we tell you you're pretty/beautiful/gorgeous/cute/stunning, we freaking mean it. Don't tell us we're wrong. We'll stop trying to convince you. (this one i agree with. i mean, well...ok...maybe some guys just say it without meaning it...so...it depends if the guy is serious...i guess)

The sexiest thing about a girl is confidence. Yeah, you can quote me. (how can i quote you? this article must have been forwarded so many times that the author is no longer acknowledged)


Don't be mad when we hold the door open. Take Advantage of the mood I'm in. (girls need to learn to take advantage of guys...from time to time)

Let us pay for you! Dont 'feel bad. We enjoy doing it. It's expected. Smile and say "thank you". (this one i have my reservations. cmon, a "thank you"? i want to get my money's worth)

Kiss us when no one's watching. If you kiss us when you know somebody's looking, we'll be more impressed. (i would prefer the former. i have a reputation to maintain)

You don't have to get dressed up for us. If we're going out with you in the first place, you don't have to feel the need to wear the shortest skirt you have or put on every kind of makeup you own. We like you for who you are and not what you are. Honestly, i think a girl looks more beautiful when she's just in her pj's. Or my tshirt and boxers, not all dolled up. (yup)

Don't take everything we say seriously. Sarcasm is a beautiful thing. See the beauty in it.
Don't get angry easily. (i fully agree. Sarcsasm is a beautiful thing)

Stop using magazines/media as your bible. Don't talk about how hot Chris Brown, Brad Pitt, or Jesse McCartney is in front of us. It's boring, and we don't care. You have girlfriends for that.

Whatever happened to the word "handsome"/'beautiful" I'd be utterly stunned by a girl who greeted me with "Hey handsome!" instead of "Hey baby/stud/cutie/sexy" or whatever else you can think of. On the other hand I'm not saying I wouldn't like it either ; )

Girls, I cannot stress this enough: if you aren't being treated right by a guy, don't wait for him to change! Ditch his sorry butt, disgrace to the male population and find someone who will treat you with utter respect. Someone who will honor your morals.
Someone who will make you smile when you're at your lowest.
Someone who will care for you even when you make mistakes.
Someone who will love you, no matter how bad you make them feel.

just had a weird dream the other day. i dreamt of having sex with the prez. what bothered me was...it wasnt that bad. and she was in her 30s. and it was like something from a porn movie. ugh.

just had the most wonderful dream and i hope i never forget this dream...thats why im blogging about it now while its still fresh in my head...

i finally have a dream of her. and it was wonderful. we were watching some kind of play. and i sat beside her. and then we held hands. and we just enjoyed sitting beside each other. we just enjoyed the closeness. people who knew us looked and we didnt care. we just kept holding each other's hands and enjoyed it. sometimes, she leaned on my shoulder. saw some friends and relatives while watching the play and introduced her to them. the play ended. we stood up and walked to the parking lot, which was a bit far. and we walked still holding each other's hands. i then told her that she allow me to drive her home that night. thats when the dream ended. i was so happy about the dream. and then got a bit sad. because it might remain a dream forever. but i will never let this dream be forgotten.

i dreamt of agreeing with ashley to meet her at her happy place. she was going to see me with our appointed judge. but after waiting for some time, i decided to leave and just go to my sub-happy place. so i texted her that im going to change locations. once i got to my sub-happy place, my friend was there so he accompanied me. anyway, only the judge came to meet me and she said ashley wont leave her happy place. so the thing about this dream is that, the judge and my friend finally met. the dream ended there so i dont know if it was a good thing or not.

dream recall

dreamt of not being invited to CLs birthday party in sulo hotel. it seemed like everyone was invited except me. got a token of some sort though. a spidey head that im supposed to paint. weird

also dreamt of being good at boxing. weird again.

dreamt of conducting the direct exam that im supposed to do on january 14. finally something that made sense. the direct exam dream didnt go well. client contradicted the expected answers or became simply confused. at one point, client even blamed me. but at least i have an idea now how to do it (the questions) and make sure that stuff wont happen in my direct exam. and it also shows that im worried about that direct exam. i like it when my subconscious tells me something i finally get. unlike those weird dreams that come out of nowhere. some become relevant or their meaning unfolds after some time but some are just plain useless.

dreamt of playing for some UP soccer team against an ateneo soccer team. not necessarily a varsity team. wore my highschool soccer shoes.

also dreamt of getting stranded in a large pit with around 12 other people. it started with me being asked by my siblings to draw a story of three bears or three furry creatures trying to cross a pit by tightrope (they said the only way to appreciate the story is by drawing it). the rope snapped midway. when the three creatures fell, instead of the three creatures, they were replaced by me and 12 other people. weird. the dream ended with all of us getting out of the large pit eventually.

dream recall

dreamt i was a resident of a slum area. then a kid, around 5, became close to me. considered me as some kind of a parent or something. kid's name was milo. not my nephew. looked like mico though. then later, i learned that the kid was actually the son of a wealthy girl. the kid was actually hospitalized earlier and lost his memory. how he ended in the slum area, i have no idea. anyway, when the wealthy young mother took the kid, she decided to take me also, saying that since i was some kind of father figure to the kid, i could help her in gaining the trust of her son. the girl looked like jodi. anyway, dont know how the dream ended, cant remember if it did end, but i remember having an argument with the girl, with me saying "so were a couple now?" and she replying "thats the whole point!" i didnt like it because though it was nice to live with them, it was never my intention to stay. i was doing it for the kid, not her and not because she's some rich, pretty girl doesnt mean im bound to like her.

seems like the longer i commit to this single for life thing, the more dreams i have of me living a couple's life. 

anyway, had another dream. this time i was receiving YM messages from some unknown sender. the messages were weird. like some demented atenean extremist who wants to cleanse the world and inculcate some kind of values.

this dream recall is weeks overdue.

had a dream a few weeks ago. it was nice. i was talking to a beautiful, supermodel material, latin american hottie. she was literally a dream girl. and the amusing part is i asked her out and she said yes (just like a good dream should be). since its been weeks, cant remember the details. then the dream shifted with me being married to another foreigner, who was jewish and with whom i have two kids. and we were celebrating christmas, so it meant i didnt convert to her religion and i stuck to being a catholic. the nice part of the dream was i felt happy in that portion of my dream where i was married. when i woke up i just said to myself, that feeling would only happen in my dreams. ive completed one full year of committing to the single life and not entertaining the thought of being in a serious relationship. im already getting myself accustomed and preparing myself for the "single for life" lifestyle. so far im doing ok and im already planning how im going to "execute" the kind of lifestyle ive chosen.

i think i just predicted the future. and i didnt realize it until this morning.

well, not really predicted but was able to visualize a future and unexpected event.

for example, the things that transpired on a friday were not actually the one i visualized in my head but it was close enough to create a link and what i visualized isnt really something thats likely to happen. possible but not probable. and i visualized it a week or two weeks before.

what i predicted was a conversation and betting. maybe its just a coincidence that i was going to engage in such a conversation and engage in betting on that particular day. what are the chances of such thought coming into your head out of nowhere and even prediciting the particular day of the month.

got another one of them hodgepodge dreams.

i dreamt that i got called for recitation in nego. the case was Boon. and i dont think such a case exists. well,  i made use of a digest and stammered my way out of it.

then i dreamt of being in a van with law school blockmates heading somewhere.

then i dreamt of getting __ from salesladies in a mall.

then i dreamt of cooking something. its like a gourment hotdog sandwich of some sort. it has a hotdog sandwich bun with a hotdog on one side, the condiments in the middle and another topping on the other side. dont remember if its another type of meat. anyway, i was cooking a lot of it like im cooking for a party or something. 

for the first one, i think its because ive been worriying of getting called since sooner or later i will get called. for the second one, maybe its because of the upcoming field trip. as for the third, well, im a guy and guys think about sex related stuff every six seconds. as for the fourth one, i was craving for a chili dog sandwich earlier this week but not anymore.

trip down memory lane: beatles

im not really a beatles fan but i loved their songs since i was 8 or 9 (i think there is a high standard to call oneself as a beatles fan).

i remember back in grade school that i chatted with classmates and playmates who also liked their songs. i even said they had this way of bending their knees while they perform on stage. of course, it was just a hastydeduction based on one video i saw. 

there was one time where we played this game where we will sing a portion of a beatles song and the one who runs out of a beatles song to sing loses.

there was also one time where we debated if a particular song was a beatles song or not. one playmate insisted that don mclean's "vincent" was a beatles song. of course, we violently objected. 

i also had one of the beatles anthology albums, in cassette! it comes in twos and if i remember correctly its costs P300 each. since there are three, it would amount to P900. but i got my anthology 1 as a gift so i really didnt spend anything. unfortunately, i wasnt able to buy the other 2 anthology albums. and i didnt like it back then because i thought it was a compilation of their hit singles. i couldnt appreciate the demo versions and their other not so popular songs. i dont think like that anymore.

i also remember mistaking paul mccartney for george harrison in their "Get Back" music video.

when i was a law school freshman and just got home from an all-nighter activity, and i only had an hour or two before i go back again to school, i played beatles song in my winamp playlist while working on my PC.

between the I am Sam soundtrack and Across the Universe soundtrack, i prefer the latter one.

john lennon is my favorite beatle.

dream recall

just had a weird dream involving a spirit/ghost. it started when 4 people i know ended up staying in my room for the night. when they left in the morning, they had no idea that a ghost got attracted to one of them (because she's pretty and not because she's a ghost magnet and not because her name is cat-like. i mean cats are somehow linked to spirits in myths right?) and followed them from where they came from to my room. and when they left, the ghost wasnt able to follow them and got stuck in my room. and i found out about it because it manifested itself and i was forced to live with it in my own room. it wasnt easy because even if he's a ghost, he demands space. which is kinda weird because, he's a ghost and he's demanding to occupy a physical space. like for example, i cant make use of the bed because he's using it. what the? youre a freaking ghost! what do you need the bed for? so its like living with someone who is squatting in your room. anyway, i ended up asking the person i know to come back to my room and lure the ghost to leave. and then i woke up because someone was knocking in my door. as usual, i dont get to finish the dream because its time to wake up.

dream recall: teleporter

had an interestingly weird dream this morning.

i was in some kind of cemetery and there was this big contraption of sorts. i was told it was a teleporter or teleporting machine of some sort. that explained why a hand keeps appearing from tha machine holding some furniture like things. they were teleporting things from one place to another. so there must be a person in some other place, taking the things inside one machine to be teleported to another. like a 2 way portal or something. anyway, my reaction was "thats incredible. someone finally invented a machine that teleports stuff". the guy i was talking to replied it was a top secret machine and what i was watching is a test run. and no one would ever imagine that such a machine was finally made in this country.

then the next thing i know, i was back in highschool. sort of. the people around me were highschool batchmates but we were in UP as if it was our campus. the "teleporter" machine was there too. i pretended that i knew nothing of the future because the people acted as if being highschool students was the present time, like talking which college to apply with. and i was very aware that im already in law school. i was much into pretending that im just a highschool student that when a law school blockmate showed up, i pretended i dont recognize her and even asked her how she knew me. thats all. just a weird dream. i havent had interesting dreams for weeks.

dream recall

i dreamt of kenny rogers' muffins. i ate all six as if i was really eating each and one of them...or it (3 blueberry and 3 chocolate or whatever the flavor of them choco ones). if only the dream could give me the feeling of fullness in my tummy when i woke up. anyway, i realized that i havent been eating like i used to do. i just eat so that my stomach would have something in it, so i wont have ulcer or something. like a minimum requirement. i used to eat until i get the feeling of fullness.

havent posted anything here for almost 2mos. anyway, just woke up. submitted my all-nighter memorial yesterday, so i needed sleep badly. and well, im a bit happy to have had a good dream. well, its not really good but there a was a itsy bitsy portion that was nice.

dont remember it in its entirety. i remember lying in bed with a knife stabbed in my back. and my back hurts right now, were the stab wound is supposed to be. maybe thats why i dreamt i had a knife stabbed in my back. it was because that portion of my back was hurting. anyway, in the dream, it was like i was nearing death because there was this medical equipment of sorts with numbers from 1-100. the lower the number, the nearer i am to dying, the higher the number, well, full health. just like a video game. so there. i eventually recovered but i became really weak, and light in terms of weight. its like i became extremely...umm...delicate. if i jump too hard or just jump high or stomp, i might break my legs or something like that. and when i wear a backpack, i turn turtle if im not mindful of my balance. so in the dream, i was like some geriatric, who walks carefully and slowly, so i would not hurt myself. and i was still in law school. so that really sucked because i need to carry a lot of stuff from time to time and i had to climb a flight of stairs. anyway, then the nice part happened, got a hug that just felt so nice in that dream. i dont know why she hugged me, but it wasnt something she did spontaneously. we talked but i dont remember what we talked about, but it ended with she hugging me and both of us not wanting that hug to end. if not for her friends who were standing nearby waiting for her, i wouldnt have asked her to leave. it just felt so nice and well, real. maybe its the draining paper that i did the day before. since i didnt specify who this girl is, i think ill forget who she is when i read this entry....maybe six months from now. and this would be a pointless because it wouldnt serve the purpose of reminding me of things i want to remember.
