dream recall: teleporter

had an interestingly weird dream this morning.

i was in some kind of cemetery and there was this big contraption of sorts. i was told it was a teleporter or teleporting machine of some sort. that explained why a hand keeps appearing from tha machine holding some furniture like things. they were teleporting things from one place to another. so there must be a person in some other place, taking the things inside one machine to be teleported to another. like a 2 way portal or something. anyway, my reaction was "thats incredible. someone finally invented a machine that teleports stuff". the guy i was talking to replied it was a top secret machine and what i was watching is a test run. and no one would ever imagine that such a machine was finally made in this country.

then the next thing i know, i was back in highschool. sort of. the people around me were highschool batchmates but we were in UP as if it was our campus. the "teleporter" machine was there too. i pretended that i knew nothing of the future because the people acted as if being highschool students was the present time, like talking which college to apply with. and i was very aware that im already in law school. i was much into pretending that im just a highschool student that when a law school blockmate showed up, i pretended i dont recognize her and even asked her how she knew me. thats all. just a weird dream. i havent had interesting dreams for weeks.

dream recall

i dreamt of kenny rogers' muffins. i ate all six as if i was really eating each and one of them...or it (3 blueberry and 3 chocolate or whatever the flavor of them choco ones). if only the dream could give me the feeling of fullness in my tummy when i woke up. anyway, i realized that i havent been eating like i used to do. i just eat so that my stomach would have something in it, so i wont have ulcer or something. like a minimum requirement. i used to eat until i get the feeling of fullness.

dream recall

havent posted anything here for almost 2mos. anyway, just woke up. submitted my all-nighter memorial yesterday, so i needed sleep badly. and well, im a bit happy to have had a good dream. well, its not really good but there a was a itsy bitsy portion that was nice.

dont remember it in its entirety. i remember lying in bed with a knife stabbed in my back. and my back hurts right now, were the stab wound is supposed to be. maybe thats why i dreamt i had a knife stabbed in my back. it was because that portion of my back was hurting. anyway, in the dream, it was like i was nearing death because there was this medical equipment of sorts with numbers from 1-100. the lower the number, the nearer i am to dying, the higher the number, well, full health. just like a video game. so there. i eventually recovered but i became really weak, and light in terms of weight. its like i became extremely...umm...delicate. if i jump too hard or just jump high or stomp, i might break my legs or something like that. and when i wear a backpack, i turn turtle if im not mindful of my balance. so in the dream, i was like some geriatric, who walks carefully and slowly, so i would not hurt myself. and i was still in law school. so that really sucked because i need to carry a lot of stuff from time to time and i had to climb a flight of stairs. anyway, then the nice part happened, got a hug that just felt so nice in that dream. i dont know why she hugged me, but it wasnt something she did spontaneously. we talked but i dont remember what we talked about, but it ended with she hugging me and both of us not wanting that hug to end. if not for her friends who were standing nearby waiting for her, i wouldnt have asked her to leave. it just felt so nice and well, real. maybe its the draining paper that i did the day before. since i didnt specify who this girl is, i think ill forget who she is when i read this entry....maybe six months from now. and this would be a pointless because it wouldnt serve the purpose of reminding me of things i want to remember.

bughaw blood/dugong blue

snatched this from elaine, who got it from diane, who got it from joe. thats as far as i can trace the source of this quiz. if this was a negotiable instrument, like a check, could this be considered stale since an unreasonable amount of time had elapsed since the last time this was negotiated? am i a holder in due course? sorry, im still not over the midterm exam i took last friday.

IF YOUR BLUE BLOODEDNESS WOULD BE GRADED, WHAT WOULD YOUR FINAL MARK BE?

Place an X inside the box if it applies to you.

[x] Got an A for at least one subject
[x] Understood the definition of "HELL" week…(is this an atenean term, like "free cut"?)
[ ] and regretted finding out what it meant (didnt regret finding out what it meant, ive always been the type to face hell head on, only to fail miserably in the end. then get up and face hell again, and fail, and so on and so forth. its a never ending cycle of failure due to sheer stupidity pretending to be bravery. people sometimes think its the latter but its actually stupidity because i dont really realize the gravity of what im getting myself into)
[x] Has taken/ Currently taking PE 101 (with elaine, luis, joe and miguel...may nakalimutan ba ko?)

score: 4

[ ] Crammed three papers in one night (i dont think so. i make sure i cram only one at a time kasi when i cram, its really cramming. i remember sitting sa may ISO doing manual spell checks, i.e. using a pencil to correct the spellings, last minute corrections)
[ ] Gave a class presentation that you now regret (not that im always prepared but i dont regret the presentations ive made, even the one in my japanese class where i reported about Filipino literature. that was stupid but not my fault. my partner was supposed to tackle japanese literature and compare it with my report but he didnt show up so i was left with only my report, which has no relation to the subject. the show must go on)
[ ] Know at least one photocopy lady because of professors who loved Xerox machines
[x ] Got an F in a long test (of course. the only way you can handle failure is to experience it first hand. you either intend to fail or just fail. i do the latter. got a 17 out of 100 sa math11. not proud of it, but its funny when you think about it)
[x ] Promised to do better but didn't in general

dream recall: Dupan

went to Dupan. dont even know if such a place exists. how did i know i went to Dupan? easy, i explicitly asked my companions where we were and they said "Dupan". it was like a getaway of some sort. i woke up in that dream to find out i was there. and my companions were a bit worried about my health, thinking how i would probably manage to be there with my health condition.

we were in a room. and when i looked outside, it looked like at first an informal settler's community within a forest. but thats just what it looked like at first. upon closer inspection, it seemed like a place where human civilization managed to co-exist with nature. its like a place with a higher level of technology where houses and human communities can be built within a forest without disrupting the ecosystem. after seeing that, i looked around the room to see how many people i was with. it seemed more than 5 but less than 10. familiar faces that i know, no one new (eiln, dhirt, yarn, inni, nohj, cant remember the rest). i cant remember how i got there. it seemed that the last thing i remembered before waking up in that room was that eiln was tampering with my locker. after that, i woke up there and asked where we were. then i took my cellphone which gave me clues on what happened in between. it seemed like i switched personalities after the lock-tampering incident and getting to Dupan. in my phone (which was more technologically advanced) was a video of the trip to Dupan. we went there by bus, stopped by a mall to eat lunch (japanese food!). the mall, again, showed signs of higher level of technology. but the video were just short clips of the trip so it didnt really give a good picture of how i got there. and that dream of being in such a place somehow gave me a that refreshing feeling. something like reinvigorating. something i rarely feel. i wouldnt have wanted to wake up but it was already 11am and had a 1pm class. tsk. had to cut the dream short.

it was just an interesting dream. havent had an interesting one for weeks.

memory fragments: harry potter

i wish i had a pensieve for this. anyway, i wasnt one of the early harry potter fans. im not even sure if i am a harry potter fan. i love the books, i love everything or mostly everything related to the books but im dont think im a hardcore fan to qualify as a "potterhead". i never heard of harry potter til i got a paperback copy of Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets as a gift for christmas. one of my cousins gave it to me, unfortunately, i cant remember who. when they learned im not familiar with the book and they learned i havent read Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, one of them quickly said i should not read it til i read the first book. i followed her advice, and she borrowed a copy of the first book for me to read. and after reading that first book, i knew i was hooked. ive never read something like it before. the books ive read back then were usually what my highschool teachers asked me to read. so, that was very boring, right? and also, ive always seen myself as a science fiction person and not someone who's into fantasy books. to a certain extent, that's still true, i prefer sci-fi than fantasy, but it seems harry potter was an exception. anyway, when i read the two books, i felt this was something i had to collect, so i started buying hard-bound versions. i was able to read the first two on paperback and was able to borrow a copy of the third book. that meant, i didnt have to open my hardbound copies. its like i was collecting action figures where one doesnt open them or else it wont me in mint condition. but they are books anyway, so i knew i will have to open them one of these days. anyway, point is, i took great care of these books. when one of my cousins borrowed it, and i saw there it was dirt-stained on its top pages, i was really pissed i took the book and didnt let her finish reading it. of course that didnt mean she did it, but i was certain i gave it to her without those dirt-stains.

anyway, i was so hooked back then that i searched the internet (with a dial-up modem) for harry potter goodies. i even changed my PC's sound scheme so that when i maximized or minimized a window or when i shutdown the PC, the PC would make use of the spells from the book (such as Wingardium Leviosa, Avada Kedavra, Expecto Patronum...not sure of the spelling). i remember on my sophomore or junior year in college, i went alone for the first time to go to Sta Lucia Mall to buy some Harry Potter pins. i filled my backpack with those pins. i didnt even think how to get home! also, michelle, a family friend, gave me a harry potter shirt as a birthday gift, which i still wear until today.

i still dont know why i wasnt able to buy the fifth book. i knew i just never had the will to save up money for the fifth book but why i never had that will to save money to buy the book, i dont know why. maybe i lost interest. and when i entered law school, the more i forgot about it. only when the fifth movie was about to released that i started reading the books again. and after reading books five and six, i realized i still like the books, maybe not as much as before, but i still like it enough that i would feel bad after reading the seventh book knowing that it would be the last in the series.

what kind of cool are you?

You're Calm, Cool, and Collected

Do your friends like to lean on your shoulder? Ask you for advice in life and love? Put you on speed-dial for emergencies? We bet they do. You're as balanced as they come. When it comes to making decisions, you're not afraid to take the time to weigh your options carefully in order to make the right choice. And it takes more than a few obstacles to rattle your cool head.

The good news is that you've also got lots of heart, and you make sure that people know that you always have their backs. There's almost nothing more important to you than the people in your life, so being a support to them is the coolest thing around. Just like you

what song are you?

YOUR song is Funky Town

Bold, outrageous, and unafraid to ham it up. Like your signature song, you're upbeat and tons of fun. When it comes to having a good time, your imagination knows no limits. Whether you're out on the town or at home with friends, you can be counted on to be the ringleader.

People are drawn to your lightheartedness and offbeat sense of humor. You're not one to take life too seriously, and that's why you're such a hoot to be around. Not to mention, you always manage to keep people guessing what you'll do next. Stay funky!

infected by the robots in disguise movie theme

ever since i saw Transformers last thursday, june 28, this song has been in my head. this version is from the Transformers movie of 1986, performed by White Lion. the tv theme is also stuck in my head.

Transformers

Something evil's watching over you
Comin' from the sky above
And there's nothing you can do

Prepare to strike
There'll be no place to run
When your caught within the grip
Of the evil Unicron

Transformers
More than meets the eye
Transformers
Robots in Disguise

Strong enough to break the bravest heart
So we have to pull together
We can't stay worlds apart

To stand divided we will surely fall
Until our darkest hour
When the light will save us all

Transformers
More than meets the eye
Transformers
Robots in Disguise
Transformers

Autobots wage their Battle
To destroy the evil forces
Of the Decepticons

It's judgment day and now we've made our stand
And for now the powers of darkness
Have been driven from our land

The Battle's over but the war has just begun
And this way it will remain til the day when all are one

memory fragment: skull ring

again, back in highschool, i used to wear rings. one of them was a skull ring similar to what Captain Teague had (Keith Richard's character in Pirates of the Carribean: At World's End). the other was a dragon ring. unfortunately, i lost them and i blame my AP teacher for that. he saw me wearing it and he told me not to wear it in school. why? he said those were the kinds of rings that gangsters and fratmen wear. if i kept wearing that, i might be mistaken as a member. what the? the school was filled with fratmen, and im the only one with those kinds of rings (and im not a member of course). what the hell is he talking about? besides, those rings were given to me by my own mother, for my birthday! it was a fact back then that i have this infatuation for skulls (which my mother didnt seem to mind. i have a skull paperweight, the very first desktop wallpaper i had for my PC was a skull, i drew skulls on my notebooks, point is i like anything that had skulls on it, if not skull figurines or something similar, i still appreciate it now, i still have a handkerchief with skull print. and when i say skull, i mean human skull).

anyway, i miss my skull ring (i think i lost in on a tricycle, since my AP teacher forbid me to wear it, i kept it in my pocket, right pocket to be specific and when i ride the tricycle, sometimes the contents fall out, so i think that's where i lost it and i was really pissed when i got home to find out that my rings werent in my pocket anymore). ive been looking for something like the one i lost and well, it seems that skull rings like that wasnt that common (or im just not looking hard enough or im looking on the wrong places). i think stone cold steve austin also has a skull ring but im not sure if its the same as the one keith richards wear.

the skull ring that i used to wear looks like the pic below, 90% similar, mine had smaller forehead and rounder eye sockets.

memory fragment: highschool locker

back in highschool, i think around sophomore year, i labeled my locker with the following letters: VEGJACBUG

the letters were supposed to represent the first letter of the names of my crushes back then. i remember what the letters V,E,G,J,C,U,G stand for. but i cant seem to recall who A and B are.

Mobius strip

its almost midnight (or maybe its midnight already), and im sleepy. but since its so hot, im sure that i wont be able to fall asleep.

anyway, ive been trying to recall what song mentioned Mobius strip in its lyrics. i kept thinking of alanis morissette until i gave up and googled it. the answer? nelly furtado's "Hey Man"

Hey, Man lyrics
Hey, man, don't look so scared.
You know I'm only testing you out.
Hey man, don't look so angry,
you're real close to figuring me out.

We are a part of a circle.
It's like a mobius strip,
and it goes round and round until it loses a link.
And there's a shadow in the sky and it looks like rain,
and shit is gonna fly once again.

Hey, man, we look at each other with ample eyes,
so why not some time to discover what's behind your eyes?
I've got so many questions that I want to ask you.
I am so tired of mirrors- pour me a glass of your wine!

And there's a shadow in the sky and it looks like rain,
and shit is gonna fly once again!
I've got a bunch of government cheques at my door.
Each morning I try to send them back but they only send me more.
I look at myself in the mirror; am I vital today?
Hey, man, I let my conscience get in the way!

And there's a shadow in the sky , and it looks like rain,
and shit is gonna fly once again,
and I don't mean to rain on your parade,
but pathos has got me once again...
and I don't want ambivalence no more,
I don't want ambivalence no more,
I don't want ambivalence no more,
no I don't want ambivalence no more!

i had no idea what a mobius strip is so i had to check it on wikipedia.

bob dylan song

Times They Are A-Changin
Bob Dylan

Come gather 'round people
Wherever you roam
And admit that the waters
Around you have grown
And accept it that soon
You'll be drenched to the bone.
If your time to you
Is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come writers and critics
Who prophesize with your pen
And keep your eyes wide
The chance won't come again
And don't speak too soon
For the wheel's still in spin
And there's no tellin' who
That it's namin'.
For the loser now
Will be later to win
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come senators, congressmen
Please heed the call
Don't stand in the doorway
Don't block up the hall
For he that gets hurt
Will be he who has stalled
There's a battle outside
And it is ragin'.
It'll soon shake your windows
And rattle your walls
For the times they are a-changin'.

Come mothers and fathers
Throughout the land
And don't criticize
What you can't understand
Your sons and your daughters
Are beyond your command
Your old road is
Rapidly agin'.
Please get out of the new one
If you can't lend your hand
For the times they are a-changin'.

The line it is drawn
The curse it is cast
The slow one now
Will later be fast
As the present now
Will later be past
The order is
Rapidly fadin'.
And the first one now
Will later be last
For the times they are a-changin'.

blast from the past

here's some of the games i remember that involves a simple song before starting the game. these songs vary a bit from place to place (i think) but here are the versions i grew up with:

saksak puso
tulo ang dugo
patay
buhay
alis ka na dyan!

monkey monkey

monkey monkey anna belle
how many monkeys did you see?
(state any number, usually not more than 20, example, 3)
three!
one two three
and a rickity-kity (no idea what it should be, sounds like it) and a blue black sheep (or ship?)
i-spell Yes
Y-E-S
i-spell No
N-o
A-lis!

the soldier

dream recall:

i wonder if i should feel threatened. just woke up and had a dream, introducing myself to myself as robert. it was like a new personality introducing himself to me. now, that has never happened before (split personalities just happen). so it could really just be a dream and not a message from the subconcious. but he did make himself clear who he is. he's a disciplined, motivated and...umm...soldierlike SOB who likes to do things by the rules. in the dream, i was looking at myself in the mirror and i see a clean shaven version of myself (cos right now, i have a moustache and beard), saying to me that he was robert and i could call him bobby if i want. he described what he was like. he didnt say what his purpose was, but he did make me feel who he is. after that, i woke up.

sliding doors

i dont know why i didnt watch "sliding doors" back in 1998. maybe because im not much of a fan of gwyneth paltrow. anyway, ive wanted to see the movie because its about alternate realities. ive always found this idea of alternate realities interesting.

anyway, this isnt about the movie. its really about alternate realities. its past midnight and i just had a thought that i might have just underwent something similar. unfortunately, it seems im on the not so good alternate reality.

few hours ago, i was contemplating on whether i should go to bicol or not. i decided not to go. weird part is, everyone except me, wants me to go or its fine for them for me to go. i dont really know why i dont want to go to bicol, i just felt like i shouldn't. its like the entire day was suited for me to go but i just kept stubbornly refusing to pick up my lazy ass and pack up. (aside from feeling i shouldn't go).

so, in comes "if" is the saddest word, and "what might have been" is the saddest phrase. i could have enjoyed myself if i allowed myself to go with my friends. but, for some reason, i just felt that i should avoid going to bicol or go somewhere and have fun. and right now im thinking, did i make the wrong turn? because looking at where things are heading, it seems the decision would lead to two entirely different versions of my life. why? because the set of decisions im going to make now would be different from the set of decisions i might make if i decided otherwise. right now, im making decisions that i would not face if i went to bicol. and these are life-changing decisions. but then again, my life is filled with wrong turns, so i guess i sort of expected it to end up this way.

dream recall

finally, a dream...well, an interesting dream. i had a "dream drought" for quite some time, meaning, either i cant recall it, or it wasnt interesting. what's the point of dreaming of something boring! yes, even boredeom reaches my subconscious.

the good dreams usually kicks in around in the early morning, somewhere between 4am to 10am. usually, between 5am to 9am. and it sucks because it is also this time people wake me up! ok, maybe that's why i remember them. but i think its really like that because when i wake in the middle of the night, i dont recall a good dream, its just ordinary dreams where you get to conjure up a world not so different from reality. slight differences, but not interesting ones.

anyway, here's the dream. this one's a bit short, because this are the only ones i recall. im in a fastfood place. im lining up to order some food and from the looks of it, its early morning. there are already a bunch of people in the place. more or less 10-15 people. i notice a bunch of girls of the same age (how come good dreams need to have girls in them in order to be good...no, that's not true, it just so happens that there are girls in most instances), and a couple of elderly guys. i then turn my attention to the cashier. there's a guy ahead of me accompanied by a "special" kid. so, it took him quite some time to order his food. im fine with that. finally its my turn, but the guy ahead of me keeps interfering because he's not completely done ordering. ok, fine then. he even took the burger i already ordered. fine, it can be replaced, he did pay for it and he already touched it. i dont like strangers touching my food. so anyway, im ordered and for some reason, the cashier (pretty girl) and the store manager (less pretty but pretty nonetheless) acted like they knew me. i mean, the only thing left was say my name.

im done ordering, as usual, i try to find a nice spot (who doesnt). so i sat on one of those tables with benches, its "spacey". its a spot with less people on them. actually only then did i notice that all the people are on one side of the store. and the spot i chose was the isolated side. then i heard my name. it was the cashier telling me to go to the other side. they were trying to save energy. again, only then did i notice that the lights werent switched on on my side. that's why it had a "horror" film effect. so i transferred.

the only good spot left, where there was a table with a bench, was the one beside the elderly couple and the bunch of girls. i was a bit irritated because it was a bit crowded already. so i sat and started to eat. i noticed that the girl behind me was looking at my head. i was bald. so i said to her, "what are you looking at?" with a glare. she just kept looking. then the elderly people started talking to me. then the people in front of me also started making conversations. so i talked back, but it was a bit weird. i mean, its like all of us knew each other and making friendly conversations. it did not give a feeling of familiarity but it was a light and enjoyable conversation (with me flirting with the girl i glared at earlier). and people didnt start to talk with each other until i sat on that bench. it was a normal scene until i filled that vacant space. anyway, it ended abruptly because i was awakened by my brother knocking on my door saying that i have to move the van in the garage.

favorite ninja turtle

wow, its been quite some time since i last wrote a blog entry here. well, i have not been having dreams lately. maybe i cant recall or im a bit sleep deprived because my cousin's dog barks non-stop near my window every single night.

anyway, this is a bit of memory fragment but not quite. as a kid, i loved the cartoon series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (who doesn't? its like every kid back then liked the cartoon). my favorite among the four was Donatello, then Leonardo. Next is Michaelangelo and Raphael was last. The reason i liked Donatello the most is because he is the intelligent one. I've always liked the smart one in a group (back then of course, now, its the weird one or the screw up). As for Leonardo, its because he uses swords as his weapon and i liked the color blue. Now for the two remaining turtles, the reason why i liked Michaelangelo more is because of his fun-loving nature. that's it. its not because i like Raphael less, it just so happens the orange turtle is more likeable.

Now, i still like Donatello more, but Raphael would rank second and Leonardo last. Not much of a fan of team leaders.

dream recall

just woke up. been awake for not more than 30 minutes. and no, i didnt go online just to blog, i had to check my email (i cant go for more than a day without checking my email, and if i do, it bothers me, its like, i cant stop thinking how i can go online...so that's partly what's in my head when im out of town and there's no PC or internet connection around).

anyway, i just had this dream. not really weird. well, probably weird for most people's standards, but i would call it not usual.

so here i was. where exactly? korea! i have no idea why im there but im there. well, someplace more of koreatown (if there is a korean equivalent for chinatown). i figured im in "koreatown" because everyone's korean and i kept asking for directions and how to read the billboards/signs since they are in korean letters. so it started with me inside a room with other koreans. i think there were four of them (2 females and 2 males, one female was preganant). so five of us in a room. so what were we doing? something like an investigation. so there was this guy asking us questions. and like a movie, they spoke in english (well, in my dream, they spoke Tagalog) but the viewers know that its only done for convenience so there would be no need for subtitles. so, the interrogations went on, leading to the fact that the pregnant lady was the primary suspect for the death of her second husband. her first husband died too for undisclosed reasons. as for the other two, they were just there, i guess, also suspects. as for me, i have no idea what the crap's happening. it is as if im just a bystander and they didnt mind me being around. heck, there was even a yoga session for one the koreans to prove that she's really attending yoga sessions. so a yoga instructor arrives and do some yoga stuff. funny, that didnt look like yoga to me, but no one objected.

interrogation ends, all of us come out of the room. i was the last. so here i was going down a flight of stairs, catching up with the korean guy who was with me at the interrogation to ask him a question. and the question is: what brand of DVD player do you recommend? so the korean guy says, "i dont know". i explained, "i want to make sure i buy a good one since if i come back to the Philippines, i wont be able to return it or have it fixed in case in breaks down". ok, so im in korea, in my dream, just to buy a DVD player?

so i continue walking down the stairs, overtaking the pregnant korean since she's walking slowly. but after i pass her, i looked back and looked up at her. she's pretty. and she's just standing with a confused look on her face. holy crap! i think she's dizzy and she's at the topmost flight of the steps! so, like in the movie, she falls but fortunately, i was there to catch her. how nice.

so i assist her to a bench (where for some reason, the other two koreans we were just with were also sitting there) and ask her if she's ok. she's not responding. she's just staring at me blankly. so i keep asking her, is she ok? but she just kept sitting there. then, she suddenly made gestures and started speaking some korean syllables. wow, just like in some movies, the language suddenly shifts to korean just to show there's a language barrier. so i couldn't understand a thing she was saying. but i think she was telling the other koreans to go away. why? because after the gestures/signals and a bit of korean whatever-its-supposed-to-be, the two moved away. so we had some privacy. so i asked her again, is she ok? she said yes. finally, back to a language i understood. now that she's feeling better, im going to ask her the question that i need to ask so i could fulfill my purpose in this dream. but i didnt, i asked a different question. so, instead of asking for the good quality DVD players, i asked her out to lunch. what the? ok, im going out with a widowed pregnant could-be-murderer. at least she's a pretty korean chick.

ok, so we went to her van. yes, she drives a van. and i offered to drive it since i thought, making her drive might aggravate her pregnant condition. so i was about to drive the van and told her she gives me the direction to where she wants to eat. she says, "ok". and as i was about to get out the parking lot, i ask her whether i should turn right or turn left. no response. she's doing it again! i looked at her and she's pretending to be asleep! what the? this is some psycho bitch. so i turned the van around went back to the place we came from and parked the van near the two koreans we were just with who are now having coffee with some friends. they saw me with the pregnant chick, and they said, "are you willing to take such a risk?" and from the tone of their voice, it seems they were friends with the pregnant lady, who suddenly is awake now, smiling. this is some crazy bitch. anyway, the two added that she murdered her two husbands. so they knew, and they didnt want to tell it to the investigator guy. and you know what i said? i said "yes". and i added, "not much of a risk actually, its either i kill her first or she kills me". and one of them responded, "now that's some relationship". after a little more exchanges, i was really convinced to take this girl out even if she's some psycho killer.

i had to wake up. i was planning to watch TMNT.

memory fragment

i remember when i was a kinder student of saint anthony learning center (SALC), now known as School of Saint Anthony (SSA), my kinder teacher asked us to go to sleep (i dont know if other schools also do this). and being the obedient kid that i am (well, not very obedient actually, because a year later, when i was elevated to prep, i refused to go in front of the class and recite. my prep teacher had to pull me off my seat, only to give up because i kept going back to my seat), i did sleep! i mean, my teacher had to ask my seatmate to wake me up. i think her name starts with the letter H. it wasnt a common name. ok, im digressing. going back, to the sleep "order", now that i remember it, it got me asking, why? why ask the kinder students to sleep? i mean, back then, we didnt ask that, we just do what the teacher tells us to do. i think that's what my mother told me. just follow your teacher's instructions. ok, maybe its just a way of saying, "kids, its time to take a break, but this isnt recess so stay put! i dont want to see any of you running around". and since would be bored just staying put and sitting around, why not sleep, right? i dont know. just crossed my mind

dream recall

maybe i should start recording some of my dreams. i dont know. seems like an idea. not sure if its good or bad.

just had this dream a few days ago. i was going to watch a movie, which i do...habitually lately. so nothing strange there. went in the cinema house, and started looking for a seat. while looking for one, a girl on my left called me by my name. i looked at her. i dont know her, but apparently she knows me. she asked whether i could accompany her. obviously she's alone, and most likely she knew so was i. seeing that there wasnt a vacant seat beside her, i just kept walking and looking for a seat. so she then said that i save her a seat. ok fine. so i looked for two vacant adjacent seats. and when i found one, called her, and we watched the movie together. wow, that dream really felt nice. when i woke up, i was happy i dreamt that. i like those kind of dreams that just puts you into a good mood when you wake up in the morning. its not one of those that you like so much you want to go back to sleep and dream again. its simply the type of dream that brings the good mood on an unpredictable day. anyway, later that day, went to see a movie, Turistas. it was nothing like my dream, not that i was expecting it to happen but, it would have been nice. anyway, so far, that's the dream i can think of at the moment. no other dream seem to be standing out aside from that.

another strange feeling

that was weird. a few hours ago, i felt like i was with a rocker chick. what rocker chick? exactly my point. why did i feel i just spent some time with a rocker chick when i dont know anyone like that or someone i could associate with a rocker chick? it didnt feel like the strange feeling i had before (the remembering the future type of feeling). its like that feeling you get when you're doing a recap of the day, and savoring the good things that happened earlier that day. and im very sure i didnt spend a day with a rocker chick. where did that thought come from? i have no idea. anyway, the feeling just last for less than a minute. it just didnt make sense why it popped up in my head and where it came from.

basketcase!

Do you have the time to listen to me whine, about nothing and everything all at once. I am one of those melodramatic fools. Neurotic to the bone. no doubt about it.

Sometimes I give myself the creeps. Sometimes my mind plays tricks on me. It all keeps adding up. I think I'm cracking up. Am I just paranoid? Or I'm just stoned

I went to a shrink to analyze my dreams. She says it's lack of sex that's bringing me down. I went to a whore, she said my life's a bore. So quit my whining cause it's bringing her down

Grasping to control, so I better hold on

test, test another one of those tests!

What's Your Destiny
Result: Facilitator
Whether you know it or not, this is the role that is most in tune with who you are at your core. As a facilitator, you're admired for your thoughtful decision-making skills and sense of duty. You exude a quiet strength, and when others want something done right, you are often the one they turn to, even though you don't call attention to yourself, often preferring to work behind the scenes more than in visible leadership roles. You are a solid, dependable person with a keen mind for systems and can easily assess their accuracy and efficiency. Just watch out for your tendency to categorize everything — not everything is black and white — because it will cause you to miss out on the subtleties of life. As long as you're aware of how rigid you can be, your orderly, neat ways can help you be incredibly productive in this life, in part because you never feel compelled to be a slave to flash and/or trend.

The Love Test
Result: Independent Spirit

You appreciate having the space to do your own thing and don't tend to feel swayed by what others are up to. You're not the type who typically feels the need to hang out at the "cool" clubs or sample the latest restaurants just to say you have. In fact, you may not even know the latest buzz about those things since they really aren't important to you. You probably like to come up with your own ideas of how to spend an entertaining evening and with whom.

Love does change you. Whether it simply enhances who you already are, or makes you a completely different person, finding someone whose love personality compliments your own makes for the longest, happiest relationships.

The Religion Test
Result: religions that value a unified world religion

Your belief system is 66% compatible with Baha'i beliefs.

The Baha'i are monotheists. That means they believe in a single, almighty God. They also believe that their divine messenger, Bahá'u'lláh, is just the most recent in a long line of spiritual figures. If world peace is to happen the way they wish it would, the Baha'i believe it's critical to overcome the world's religious divisions in favor of establishing one faith for all of humanity. It appears that you are also interested in the idea that people would feel more connected to each other if they were united under a shared belief system.

The Baha'i pass their beliefs from generation to generation through sacred texts, the most well known being the Bayan, which suggests a universal law for all people. With a passion for unity and community, the Baha'i feel that an integrated world government, a universal religion, and an end to racism and gender inequality would bring about a better world. You, too, seem to share the feeling that there may be a lot of positive things to gain from a more integrated world

You're 66% compatible with Neo-Pagan beliefs.
Neo-Pagans tend to worship outside in nature whenever possible because much of their spirituality is tied to the cycles of life and the changing of the seasons. The majority of Neo-Pagans worship by designing private rituals; a few do, however, form small groups so that they can worship in the company and support of others.

You're 63% compatible with Unitarian Universalist beliefs.
What sets Unitarian Universalism apart from other religions is their view on religious tolerance. The church is organized around a broad set of moral ideologies, which invites a diverse congregation that welcomes any member. Since members are actively encouraged to seek the spiritual truth that is most true for them as individuals, there is a diverse variety of ideas and this can be confusing or stimulating, depending on your perspective.

You're 58% compatible with Hindu beliefs
The Hindus' belief that their social position in this life is entirely due to their behavior in the last creates a rigid social hierarchy. If you were to give it a motto, it might read, "You get what you deserve." They believe that it's only through concentrated effort in this life that you may be able to positively affect your social position in the next and move further along your path toward Enlightenment.

You're 57% compatible with Buddhist beliefs
What sets Buddhism apart from the other religions is the Buddha's teachings that as a group are called the Tripitaka. After he reached Enlightenment, the Buddha taught his revelations in the form of three doctrines. The Four Noble Truths are the core Buddhist lessons and principles: (1) Suffering is real and universal, (2) Suffering is caused by a need for control, (3) Suffering ceases to exist when you reach enlightenment and (4) The Eightfold Path leads to Enlightenment. The Five Precepts are the rules to live by: Do not kill, do not steal, do not lie, do not be immodest, and do not consume drugs. And the Eightfold Path, also called the Middle Path (the path to Enlightenment) is the approach that helps end craving and attachment: (1) Right Understanding, (2) Right Thinking, (3) Right Speech, (4) Right Conduct, (5) Right Livelihood, (6) Right Effort, (7) Right Mindfulness, and (8) Right Concentration. By studying these lessons, a Buddhist may, in time, reach Enlightenment.

You're 52% compatible with Judaic religious beliefs.
Judaism differs from both Christianity and Islam in their beliefs about Jesus and the Messiah. Jews do not believe that Jesus was the Son of God, nor do they believe he was a prophet or a Savior sent by God. Some Jews believe that Jesus was a wise teacher of religious ethics. They do not believe that it's necessary to be saved from "original sin," which comes from the Christian belief that all people have inherited the first sin committed by Adam and Eve. Instead, Jews anticipate the coming of the Messiah, who will lead them back to the Promised Land and usher in a period of peace.

You're 52% compatible with Native American religious beliefs.
What sets the Native American religions apart from others is their passion for the Earth and the natural world. They have traditionally stressed the close relationship between man and nature and the need to protect the Earth and the environment. This belief is completely integrated into their religions. In their eyes, the Divine and nature are one.

You're 50% compatible with Spiritualist beliefs.
What sets the Spiritualists apart from other religions is the deep faith they place in the ability of psychics and mediums to see what lies beyond in the spiritual plane. Many Spiritualists seek to hone their own psychic abilities so they can gather better knowledge.

You're 43% compatible with Christian beliefs.
There are literally thousands of Christian denominations, which have widely varying beliefs about many things, including the historical validity of the Bible, the existence of Hell, and the Immaculate Conception.
However, all Christians believe that Jesus Christ was the Son of God who lived on Earth and that he died on the cross to save people from "original sin," which is the concept that all people have inherited the first sin committed by Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden.

You're 42% compatible with Islamic beliefs.
Islam recognizes Muhammad as the last true prophet sent to Earth by God. There are 25 prophets mentioned in the Qur'an (Islam's most well-known sacred text), including Adam, Abraham, Moses, Jesus, and finally, Muhammad.
Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet sent by God but not that he was the Son of God. They believe that when he died on the cross, he ascended to Heaven and was not resurrected.

Tests

ok, another one of those online test results. based from the tests i have posted before, i was a sultry leopard named lola who was reincarnated into a sagittarian bad boy who, as a friend is like Fez in That 70s show and who likes the girl next door which preferably should be a taurus.

now, from the test results below, im a natural superstar pitbull and an indulgent eater, who is turned on by big brains and sexually turned on by physical appearance. how true are the results? three out of five. i think.

Which American Idol Are You?
Result: Natural Superstar
When you step on stage, you shine. It's true - you look good in the limelight. There's nothing gimmicky or rehearsed about you, and your charismatic presence is honest and alluring — even if your only preparation involved years of singing in the shower. The competition had better beware —you've got talent, and you know how to use it. Simply put, you make everything look easy.

You've got that star quality that draws people to you. A little bold determination and confidence don't hurt either. So it's no wonder you're going places whether it's as an American idol or the next international superstar. Rock on!

What Breed of Dog Are You?
Result: Pitbull
No bones about it, you're a commanding Pit Bull with a bite as big as your bark. Authoritative and aggressive, the power position is the only one for you — and you never have trouble making that crystal clear. A bit quick-tempered, you can be a little intimidating — though you hardly ever attack unprovoked. Taken aback by our insight? Don't despair! You have several redeeming qualities. Very low-maintenance, you're not one to fall victim to superficiality. You say it like it is and don't waste time playing head games. Just make sure to keep your scowl and growl in check so people can get close enough to notice and appreciate your positive side. Woof!

What's Your Eating Style?
result: Indulgent Eater
You, more than others, truly gain satisfaction from eating. And because of this, you sometimes have difficulty slowing down or just saying no. You enjoy eating and what's great about that is you understand how to appreciate certain aspects of food that others do not. You see food as more than just a source of nutrition or energy. For you, dining, or just plain eating, can be a really enjoyable experience. On the downside, however, you might sometimes indulge too much in the satisfaction you get from eating.

What Turns You On?
Result: A big brain
A new independent film? CNN? The Economist? Sexy, huh? Chances are, with your smarts, and love of a challenge, something along these lines probably gets you going. Whatever your passion, you're looking for that same love of learning and curiosity about the world from your romantic partner.

For you, the hottest thing around can be dressed as a math whiz, a tech geek, or a college professor, just as long as they have the brain power — and, um, stamina — to go the distance with you. Mental connections and sparring matches give you the challenges you need to get turned on. Love poems, pumped-up abs, moonlit walks on the beach — take 'em or leave 'em, you've got your eyes on the IQ prize. After all, the sexiest thing going are smarts.

The Sexual Turn on Test
Result: Physical Appearance
People who get most turned on by a person's physical appearance are often looking for signs of comfort or familiarity in the opposite sex.

memory fragment

i remember when i was a kid, my father always brought home a very simple pasalubong which brought great delight for me and my sibling. what is it? doughnuts! and i remember that my father only bought one flavor for both of us, swiss mocha of mister donut. that's why ive always preferred mister donut over dunkin donuts, that's brand loyalty.

speaking of brand loyalty, ive always preferred coca cola over pepsi. the only time i switched to pepsi is when the Spice Girls endorsed it using the Generation Next commercial. after that, i switched back to coca cola. but, of all the cola flavors, i like pepsi's new flavor, the pepsi cino. i also liked pepsi twist. but when it comes to regular cola, i still prefer coke.

remembering the future

ever had that feeling that a future event is stored in your memory? i thought a while ago, or it crossed my mind, that i am about to meet someone i dont know, and that im trying to recall who that person is. weird right? how could i recall the instance when i met the person when that has not happened yet? and why do i feel like its somewhere in my memory? it was that weird feeling that i experience from time to time that im merely re-living this life. it feels like ive already lived this life before and im just living it again or something like that. its like trying to remember what you did tomorrow, and parts of it are already stored in your memory. anyway, its just a strange feeling. its not like it has actually happened. its really hard to determine whether it has happened because, what you are trying to recall in your memory is hard to grasp. its like you only see an outline of the memory and not a clear picture of it. so, if it does happen, you can't really say with certainty that it was the one you were trying to recall earlier.

memory fragment

I remember back in high school that i bought an audio CD even before i had a CD player. i knew back then that the audio CD would replace cassette tapes. so even if i had no CD player to play the audio CD, i knew that i will eventually have one. so it wasn't a waste to buy the audio CD. back then, i felt like i was making a fearless forecast, that CDs would replace cassette tapes. well, cassette tapes are still around but CDs dominate now.

I also remember back in high school that i felt that the mini-disc would not replace the audio CD. and well, it appears to be another correct prediction, the mini-disc didnt gain the same popularity as CDs have. and my reason for that was, the mini-disc was just too expensive.

then came the flash disk or flash drive. back in college, i thought the flash disk wont work, for the same reasons, too expensive. seems like this time i was wrong. even if it was expensive (although it isnt as expensive as before, the price isnt that affordable...yet), the fact remains that it really isnt costly. its a convenient file storage device that isnt a waste of money.

so would the flash drive replace audio CDs as portable music storage devices? or better yet, as media file storage devices? what i mean is, replace the different forms of discs (from audio CDs to DVDs)? that all you need is the flash drive, and plug it to your car stereo, or DVD player, or simply your stereo player. that's possible now of course, but the question is, will it replace all of these forms of storage devices and be a household item?

spilling over

it seems bits and pieces of me keep spilling over. well, bits and pieces of my mind. there are times i feel like the real world and the "dream world" are in a confused mix. not that i dont know whether im awake or asleep, but there are times like portions of the real world seems to be part of a "dream world". it is as if its here but not quite supposed to be. or there's something wrong with it. i dont know, just a strange feeling. its like those movies which combines animation and real stuff, like the roger rabbit movie or space jam. im not saying im seeing cartoon characters, but imagine being in such movies, and try to capture the feeling you would get from it if it were really happening. just weird

memory fragment

well, not really a memory fragment but a thing of the past.

does the word "time first" mean anything? i recall using it when i was a kid, whenever we were playing games on the street and we want the "it"or some other kid to wait for a while. its like a "time out". but why "time first"? so, i would shout "TIME FIRST!" as if saying, "hold on a minute, i want some clarifications" or "wait, postpone the game for a little while, there some urgent matter we need to discuss". anyway, just noting that this two word phrase remain a mystery to me on how it came to be.

theme song...last year

cant believe its been a year already. or almost a year. this was my theme song, well, not really, but still this song was just so...anyway, here's the song that i played on my van whenever i was driving to school...i think it was a year ago, maybe last week of january 2006 or first few weeks of february. so approximately a year ago. also, i cant believe that this became a theme song of mine! i hate myself.

Buwan
Itchyworms

Ilang huwebes na ang dumaan
Di pa rin nasasakyan
Na wala ka na

Iniwanan na ng panahon
Di pa rin makaahon
Swimming sa luha

Ginagawa kahit ano
Matapos lang gabing ito
Bakit ang bagal ng relo

Naninikip ang tiyan
Nakatingin sa buwan
Malayo pa wala ng magawa

Hawak ang 'yong kamay
Wala kong kaakbay
Nasa'n ka na kaya

Parang kahapon lang
Tayo ay magkayakap
Sa ilalim ng buwan

Ilang beses kung aking tingnan
Maganda mong larawan
Bago humiga

Umaasa sa panaginip
Kahit na isang idlip
Na makita ka

Hindi pa rin mapakali
Di maamoy ang 'yong pisngi
Kahit na konting sandali

Pag nagiisa
Iniisip kita
Babalik ka ba
Nasa'n ka kaya

Huwag maluluha
Huwag magalala
Dito lang ako
Hihintay sa'yo

Sa ilalim ng buwan
Ilalim ng buwan, aahhh
